I am a native to Kane, Pennsylvania and went onto Edinboro State University to earn a BFA in graphics with a minor in drawing and art history. My interest in watercolor developed after college so I pursued that medium on my own.
I was a floral designer for quite a while and found flowers were an excellent subject, allowing me to learn the properties of pigments and manipulate the water. With time the challenge of portraiture has become satisfying as well.
Through the years I have enjoyed participating in numerous shows and festivals including Ellicotteville's Octoberfest, Buffalo's Allentown Art Festival, and the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts.
My work has been included in juried shows sponsored by watercolor societies nationwide, (seeing more of the country than the artist!).
My artistic muse has been hitting the snooze button for a while, but feels the desire and need to wake up. The opportunity to "come and play" with the artists at the Depot looks like a great way to get back into the venture. My token is on "GO". I choose the shoe!
